SYNOPSIS

You are fourteen years old. You leave your house alone and without money. You cross a border by boat or on the underside of a truck. You arrive in a country where they don't speak your language, you can't understand them. They hate you. Why? Shit happens.

ESPAÑOL

Tienes catorce años, sales de tu casa solo y sin dinero. Cruzas una frontera en patera o en los bajos de un camión. Llegas un país en el que no hablan tu idioma, no los entiendes. Te odian ¿por qué? No se entiende.

MEET THE DIRECTOR

JUAN TRUEBA

Menores is the first documentary short film by Juan Trueba as a director. He has previously co-directed with his brother Caque the fiction short films "Abuelo" (2017), "Couchsurfing" (2016) and "One Step Ahead" (2015). All of them have exceeded sixty national and international selections and won awards such as the Dobra Award at the Torrelavega International Film Festival, Best Original Music at Hendaia Film Festival or Best Social Short Film at Sanfernancine,among others.

Menores supone el primer cortometraje documental de Juan Trueba como director. Previamente ha codirigido junto a su hermano Caque los cortometrajes de ficción "Abuelo" (2017), "Couchsurfing" (2016) y "One Step Ahead" (2015). Todos ellos han superado las sesenta selecciones nacionales e internacionales y ganado premios tales como el Premio Dobra en el Festival Internacional de cine de Torrelavega, Mejor Música Original en Hendaia Film Festival o Mejor cortometraje social en Sanfernancine entre otros.
