Tribute to Latino animators
19th Corto Circuito pays tribute to Latino animators who today have a strong presence in festivals and international platforms, competing independently or being part of large studios, with stories for children and adults.
With a program where there will be short films from Latin America, Spain and Latinos in the diaspora and the presence of most of the techniques used in animation, such as traditional 2D drawings or 3D objects, clay, stop motion or motion graphics. World-class animators such as Juan Pablo Zaramella (Argentina), Samuel Kishi Leopo (Mexico) and new ones such as Genis Rigol, Alisson Thiago, Mariana Wenger, and Patricio Plaza, among others.

CortoCircuito was co-founded by NYU KJCC Special Programs Director Laura Turegano and Film Programer Diana Vargas. The 19th CortoCircuito Latino Shortfest of NY is presented in partnership with Instituto Cervantes NY, the Consulate General of Argentina in NY, and the Colombian Studies Group at The New School with the support of NYU's King Juan Carlos Center, Barceló Rum, Empanadas Café, and Beth's Flavors.
