Mexico, Day of the Dead, Yamil Trejo remembers her daughter Yuri Lisset, a victim of femicide in 2016, while Patricia Sánchez, a young feminist, marches and calls for justice in a riot. In Bachajón, Chiapas, María Demeza, an indigenous activist, supports her community to stop gender-based violence and inform about women’s rights. The three women seek justice in a country where ten women are killed every day.
Claudia Estrada Tarascó is a Valencian filmmaker graduated in Audiovisual Communication from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Campus de Gandia. Her interest in cinema began when she felt the need to express herself through audiovisuals. Thus she begins to create video poems and little stories about women. She received the first prize at the Manos Unidas Clip-film Festival with the clip “How was your life, grandmother?” she traveled to Mexico to shoot her first short documentary entitled “Las flores que arrancas”.
