SYNOPSIS
At just 8 years old, Dalia spends her days searching for her missing dad. Along with her pet, she’ll set off on a bitter and tragic journey that will help her discover her family’s fate. A reality for the more than 40,000 Mexican families who seek, in the scent of death, their beloved ones.

DIRECTOR BIO
Nuria Menchaca is a Mexican artist graduated from ENAP / UNAM and the Université Laval in Québec. She has been twice a fellow of the FONCA Young Creators Program and has received several distinctions for her work in animation, such as the Best Animated Short Film award at the FIC Morelia (2015), which allowed her to perform at the Festival’s Critics’ Week Cannes (2016) and its recent Ariel nomination for Best Animated Short Film. Her research / artistic production work is largely composed of works of 2D animation, experimental analog animation, and object art, which is why her work has been internationally known both in art exhibitions and at film festivals. She is currently the director of the Animation and Digital Art program at ITESM, Mexico City Campus, as well as being co-founder and creative director of the animation studio No Budget Animation.
